Cool, although it hasn't been _that_ big of a problem so far for this site. I just clear things out now and then every few weeks.

Good to know. I get at least one per wee but sometimes, a sitewide spam. I have a plug in for it and that helps a whole lot.
I forget the name of it tho...

Oh yeah. Pondering my logs (do they ever end) I remebered what I run.
mt-blacklist.cgi (very nice)
I'm sure you run it, but I saw a few things like an updater via a google of mt-blacklist.cgi that someone else works on.
