Always Remember That You're Unique...

[Sakura] ...just like everyone else. Heh, I dunno, I always thought that saying was kinda ironic. =p Well, how do you like Sakura Shinguji here? Ain't she cool??? =) Apparently she's from a really neat RPG out for the Sega Saturn called "Sakura Wars" but that's about all I know of her since I don't have the game or a Saturn. I just thought she was pretty cute samurai-ko since the first time I saw her at the local manga store. And it's just a great pose too. =)

Anyway, if you actually read through all my other pages preceding this one, then you are a sad, SAD individual. ;-) Just kidding! Anyway, you might be wondering how is it that I'm not head-deep in debt by now, with collecting anime and Magic cards, and forking over $7 per 10 minute session with a pros... um, I mean, at Battletech. And guess what?!?!? I

AM

in debt. Duh. I just like to ignore that fact.

So, if there's anything you should have learned after reading all this, it would be: if there ever was a time for you to follow expensive pursuits and entertainment, this would be it. While you're still kinda leeching off of your parents. Cause after you graduate man, it's all over. You're gonna be expected to find a job and make a living and crap. And for those of you who already have to earn your way through college now... I'm terribly sorry. Some people were just dealt a shitty hand I guess. Gee, I hope I'm not coming across as being TOO painfully arrogant. =)

But hey, don't just take my word for it. Here is what Guy Kawasaki (one of the founders of Apple Computers) had to say in a graduation speech he gave at the Palo Alto High School 2 years ago. To be brief:

#10: Live off your parents as long as possible.
    #9: Pursue joy, not happiness.
#8: Challenge the known and embrace the unknown.
#7: Learn to speak a foreign language, play a musical instrument, and play non-contact sports.
    #6: Continue to learn.
#5: Learn to like yourself or change yourself until you can like yourself.
#4: Don't get married too soon.
#3: Play to win and win to play.
    #2: Obey the absolutes.
#1: Enjoy your family and friends before they are gone.
I think he makes some very good points. If you want to see the entirety of his speech, just email me and I'll send it to you. It makes for an interesting read.
