Another year, another Christmas at my parent's. Had some pretty yummy food as my mom whipped out the abalone this year. I can't believe how expensive abalone has gotten these days. I remember when I was younger a can of the stuff would be about $20 (which I guess was still rather pricey at that time) but still affordable enough so that I can remember eating it on a more consistent basis. But nowadays the darn things cost $60+ and I don't recall the last time I ever had it. But it's so darn good. =)
